Rya Ann
Rya is the founder of End Self-Harm, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the stigma around self-harming behaviors and providing safe, compassionate recovery resources. She brings a decade of sobriety and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, alongside lived experience navigating self-harm, mental health challenges, and healing. Her journey inspired the creation of a national directory that connects people with trauma-informed therapists, support groups, and scar care services like tattoo and laser specialists. With a deep belief in non-judgmental support, community empowerment, and emotional safety, Rya founded ESH to offer the kind of care she once needed but couldn’t find. When not building the nonprofit, she enjoys being by the ocean, around animals, and finding beauty in the small, quiet moments of everyday life.
